One of my favorite events is back this time, the Sunnybrook Polka Fest! These folks know how to party and have fun. Speaking of parties, check out DJ Gary at Eastwood’s car show, last year’s event ended up nearly spilling on to Shoemaker Road it was so well attended.
The party list wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention The Topton Fire Co. Block Party, from all accounts this is the must attend party of the year in Topton Jim and the guys make it a rocking good time. Check it out.
On the big stages country biggies Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town are at Montage. This will be an awesome venue to see this show. If rock is more to your taste, the Nickelback show out in Hershey would be an extra added incentive to visit the sweetest place on earth.
Duck and cover because there are also TWO B52s shows coming to the area in rapid succession. The big stage pick, though, has to be Arlo Guthrie in Ocean City, this is Americana at it’s finest and everyone should hear it at least once. Locally, Ziggy Issacs at The Bridge Inn promises to be a fun time in a fun venue.
Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM? Send an email to redneck@berksmontnews.com with the particulars (at least two weeks in advance) and we’ll get it out there.
