Tracy Sheirer, right, of Exeter, was a regular customer At Douglassville for about 10 years. Athena Zieser, left, is a stylist and nail technician.

It was built with the convenience of its customers in mind, according to Terry McKim, director of marketing. Lords & Ladies has salons in Fleetwood and Douglassville, and lots of customers in Exeter, Wyomissing and Spring Township, so this new location fills the gap.

Sherry Shade, Ku;ptown, in the chair and stylist Kristyn Walters. 'I'm following my stylist,' Shade said. Walters worked at the Douglassville location for 12 years.

Entering this newly built salon is like entering the home of a well-to-do friend or relative. The gorgeous stone building with lots of windows welcomes clients with beautiful landscaping and a porch filled with potted plants. Once inside, clients are greeted by hardwood floors, a spiral staircase, and a friendly staff. The inside, painted a bright yellow and deep, rich burgundy is filled with light.

According to owner, Terry Derr, “Lords & Ladies is not a high end, exclusive, expensive salon. We are an affordable luxury salon and everybody deserves to be a client and experience our incredible services.”

RELATED ASSETS

The new location has the same services as Lords & Ladies’ other locations, including hair design, nail care, and a medical spa operated by Dr. Brian Reedy from Berks Plastic Surgery. It has 16 styling stations, six shampoo chairs, four pedicure chairs, four manicure tables, and three med-spa rooms.

The Exeter location has employed 25 people, including stylists, assistants and additional staff members.

McKim says that Lords & Ladies is able to set itself apart by taking care of its employees. Every employee must take a three month course before “going to a chair.” Each location has two to three educators, and those educators travel the world to learn the latest styling techniques. McKim is proud of the benefits offered to all Lords & Ladies employees – from pension plans to maternity leave, which is unheard of in the industry according to McKim.

Lords & Ladies Salon and Medical Spa is open seven days a week. For more information call 610-406-9900 or go to http://www.lordsandladiessalons.com/.
