Berks libraries choose grand prize winner for summer reading program

Dominic Cooper, 4, Reading, was awarded the Dream Big Read, Summer Reading Program grand prize, awarded by the Berks County Library System last week. The Exeter Community Library had 840 participants in the 2012 Summer Reading Program. A total of 49,045 books were read by those children. Among them, Cooper’s name was drawn at random and he received a new Toshiba laptop. All of the Exeter Library’s programs were free to the public and paid for by community sponsors, including J.P. Mascaro and Sons, Chick-fil-a, Applebee’sand the Friends of the Exeter Community Library.
