We’re sincerely hoping all of our fans weathered Sandy’s wrath and fared well. WTIM studios remain intact and above water. Rolling on toward the Thanksgiving holiday we see that Jim Meck is once more the busiest act in Berks County, and all venues are pulling out the stops to attract the biggest holiday crowds with the best local music around. The Half Moon Café, Chaplin’s, The Sandtrap, Shoey Fire Company and of course Blind Hartman’s (who is featuring WTIM friends Black Hat Boris this week) all have great acts scheduled. Around the big stages there is quite a mix. I am torn for a big stage pick of the week, Alan Jackson is going to be awesome, but the Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler show comes down with the nod. I think it is going to be a “must see” show. Locally, we are happy to get the listing for Jammin in B-town again. The jam is a good time; go hang out, grab something to eat and listen (or play) some of that fun time music. Get out there!
Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM? Send an email to tdietterick@journalregister.com with the particulars (at least 2 weeks in advance) and we’ll get it out there.
