The Cat in the Hat ... Horton ... The Whos ... The Grinch ... Gertrude McFuzz. Those names alone can conjure up great memories of storytelling or the first time a child could read a book aloud. And now, those names will be creating new memories in the musical, “Seussical, Jr.,” being presented by Exeter Junior High School.

On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17, the students of Exeter JHS will bring these and many other characters to life.

Based on various books by Dr. Seuss, “Seussical, Jr.” follows the story of Horton the Elephant and his quest to save the tiny planet of Who, which has landed on a clover. The Cat in the Hat is on hand throughout the show to narrate and add his own bit of mischief.

As with all of Dr. Seuss’s books, “Seussical, Jr.” is fun, full of energy, and has a happy ending - with a few life lessons along the way. It’s an entertaining show with music and a story that is great for all ages.
