Exeter’s 2007 state championship boys’ volleyball team inducted to Exeter Athletic Hall of Fame

The 2007 state championship boys’ bolleyball team was inducted intothe Exeter Township High School Athletic Hall of Fame onJan. 18. The induction ceremony tok place between the JV and varsity home basketball games.

The 2013 inductees are: Coaches Shawn Ganter and Jason Grove; and team members Sam Bartman, Nash Black, Nick Cappa, Steve Dodge, Derek Evans, Mark Fleischood, Alex Hinsey, Dexter Hughes, Nick Hunsberger, Jason Huntzinger, Dexter Kennedy, Sean Neely, Mike Northeimer, Greg Rupp and Greg Sutton.

This team won the division title, county title, District III AA title, and the state title. Their league record was 28-2, with an overall game record of 113-34. Team members earning individual awards were: Mike Northeimer – state MVP; Dexter Hughes and Steve Dodge named to the All Berks, All District III and All State Teams; Alex Hinsey – Berks 1st Team All Division selection; and Nick Hunsberger, Greg Sutton, and Mark Fleischood named to the District III AA Senior All Star Team.
