Optomist Club of Daniel Boone offers scholarships to high school seniors

The Optimist Club of Daniel Boone, Douglassville, is seeking applicants for two $1500 scholarships available to high school seniors residing in the Daniel Boone School District.

Applicants for the Daniel Boone Optimist Memorial Scholarship must complete the sentence “My classmates respect me because…” in 100 words or less.

Applicants for the James C. Erdman Medical Scholarship must describe their plans for continuing study leading to a degree in a medical field.

Daniel Boone High School students submit their letters through the school’s Guidance Department. Other district residents may mail on or before April 12 to Daniel Boone Optimist Club, P.O. Box 98, Douglassville, PA 19518.

The Club advises all applicants to state where they intend to continue their studies and what course of study they intend to pursue. They may also detail high school activities, academic achievements, and any other information they may feel is relevant.
